The ?Odyssee Globetrotter Hostel? is located in the extremely popular 'Friedrichshain' quarter of Berlin. The Hostel is situated in a lively students-neighborhood with numerous bars, clubs & cheap eats.
Visit a flea market and see the Berlin Wall & "Beach Bars" within walking distance.
It's a 5 minutes walk to the O2 Arena !
The former railroad area near "Warschauer Strasse" station is our local "Tacheles" and hosts AHN outdoor free climbing spot with beer garden, concert hall and changing temporary music & art venues.
We run our own bar and serve drinks at reception (with a pool table, table soccer, Internet, games and music) as well, so satisfaction is guaranteed. Guests love our good value AYCE breakfast, late checkout 12:00 noon, free sheets, coffee and tea, our parties and still the cleanliness.

Directions

From Tegel Airport:
Bus 109 0r X9 to S-bahn station Zoologischer Garten, take S-bahn (any line direction east)to Warschauer Strasse, turn right and Grünberger Strasse to the left, number 23.
From Schoenefeld Airport:
S-Bahn to Warschauer Strasse, then turn right and then Grünberger Strasse to the left, number 23.
at "Hauptbahnhof" or "Zoologischer Garten" instead of Ostbahnhof:
take the S-Bahn ( Any line ) direction east to "Warschauer Strase", get off the station turn right and the "Grünberger Strasse" to the left, number 23

if you rather walk 5 minutes than change for the Bus at Ostbahnhof, or arrive after midnight when the bus might not run (here's the timetable: http://www.bvg.de/plan/images/Bus/Bus-240.pdf) , go one more stop on the S-Bahn to Warschauer Str., when you get off, walk the bridge down to the right, take the 4th street to the left (Gruenberger Str.), we're No 23.
also: a taxi-ride up to 2 km (which will do) has a fixed fare of 3 Euros, ask the driver for 'kurzstrecke' (pronounced COURT-sh-track-a)
