The Heart of Gold Hostel Berlin is the Starship of the Berlin Hostels. We got off ground in 2003 and met a lot of new friends on our trip through the galaxies since then.

Our Towels packed we enjoy the two suns outside this unique One out of the state-of-the-art hostels that looks a bit like the spaceship, but then again it doesn't - really, it is mostly harmless. So - Don't Panic!

Our staff will do their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible in one of the most hospitable starships in Berlin.

We are close to most of the sights including Brandenburg Gate (1200m), Reichstag (1300m), The Wall, Museums Island (500m) and the Synagoge. Almost all sights are within walking distance. The nightlife starts just around the corner with the famous "Tacheles", Cafe Zapata and many more bars and clubs on Oranienburger Strasse and towards Hackescher Markt.

Directions

Only one stop from the Main Station Hauptbahnhof: Take any s-bahn going east. It's one stop to Friedrichstrasse. Exit onto Friedrichstr, turn left and walk north, cross the River Spree. After the bridge take the second right into Johannisstrasse, walk 200 m down the street and you will find us on the left hand side in number 11.

Zoo station: Take any s-bahn going east. Its four stops to Friedrichstrasse. Then see above

Ostbahnhof: Take any s-bahn going west. Its four stops to Friedrichstrasse, then see above

Schönefeld Airport: Take the s-bahn number S9 to Friedrichstrasse, and then see above

Tegel Airport: Take bus 128 to u-bahn Kurt-Schumacher-Platz, and then get on the U6 in the direction of Alt-Mariendorf. Get off at Oranienburger Tor, go out the exit in the same direction as the u-bahn has left. Keep walking, take the first left into Johannisstrasse, walk 200 m down the street and you will find us on the left hand side in number 11.
